We have reached the final in our countdown of the top 3 scariest games of all time.

Outlast
This game evolves around a government psychiatric hospital shut down in 1971 amid scandal and reopened by merkov psychiatric systems in 2009.
The player takes the part of a journalist who sneaks into the hospital to investigate reports of horrific goings on. This game really plays on the mind and attacks the psyche, it has often been noted that players have reported nightmares after playing this game.
The graphics are without doubt exceptional and create the in game feeling of actually being in the setting and experiencing all the horror the game has to offer.
Play at your peril, you have been warned!!!
