Site Agent – Building / Infrastructure – South Colchester
Opportunity to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and fast growing forward order book.
Looking for a Site Agent to join the team and be part of a new project, to design and construct two state-of-the-art firing ranges for the MOD, together with the supporting infrastructure, buildings and services. The work is predominantly earthworks and civils. This is a site based role, located South of Colchester.
Role Summary
Managing projects within the Company's Infrastructure Group either in the Civils or Highways streams from contract award through to completion; reporting to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager depending on the value and complexity of project and personal experience/ability.
To ensure the successful completion of projects for the Company by achieving acceptable financial outcomes, whilst maintaining and improving client relationships, and adherence to the quality/safety/environmental policies of the business.
What you will be doing
- Resource allocation and management of Site staff.
- Reporting to the senior Manager on Department budget control procedures for contracts and progress against programme;
- Ensure safe systems of work and the Company Safety Policy are practiced.
- Enforcement and monitoring of the Division’s Quality Assurance and Env systems.
- Management of projects/contracts.
- Motivation of staff.
- Communication at all levels regarding progress of projects.
- Staff recruitment.
- Directly supervise Sub Agents, General Foreman.
- Indirectly supervise Site Engineer, Foreman and Gangers.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Site Agent role you must meet the following criteria:
*Previous work in a Site Agent role.
*Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification
*Previous main contractor employment
*CSCS card
Remuneration:
The successful Site Agent will receive:
-£45,000 - £55,000 Basic
