Project Manager – Building / Infrastructure / Marine –Great Yarmouth – Multi Million Pound Project

Opportunity to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and fast growing forward order book, working on an initial multi million pound project in Great Yarmouth.

 

Role:

Located in Great Yarmouth, be part of a new project to construct a quayside facility for use by the offshore energy industry. It includes design and construct of a floating berth (pontoons, restraint piles, fixed bridges and articulating linkspans).    Involving significant civils works including sheet piling, tubular piling, river works, land-based works, earthworks and associated supporting infrastructure bringing together technical, logistical and ecological challenges. 

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our clients team on this exciting project!

Refurbishing and upgrading 190m of river quay, along with the creation of new vessel pontoons and delivery of a revised road layout and associated infrastructure to optimise the land available for future development, this is an exciting project to be part of!

Seeking a proactive, talented safety conscious, competent project manager who is eager to effectively collaborate with the people around you whilst developing positive working relationships by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises.  You will be working with clients, consultants and be used to working with local authorities, so excellent communication skills are essential.

Seeking someone with experience in a similar role, delivering projects across the civil engineering sector ideally including but not essential; sheet piling, working in coastal and marine environments and on projects which involve working over water or alongside adjacent water, the successful candidate will lead and be accountable for this complex multi-discipline Marine project.

Your knowledge and experience will enable you to overcome any technical challenges ensuring that the scope of works are always delivered meeting and promoting high safety and quality standards and supporting the delivery team with day-to-day management, process and financial control.

 

Requirements:

To be considered for this Project Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

*Previous work in a Project Manager or similar role.
*Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification 

*Previous maritime experience would be ideal but not essential, candidates with good project experience in other heavy civil engineering sectors such as Highways , Infrastructure, Rail or Water will also be considered.

*Previous main contractor employment 

*CSCS card



Remuneration:

The successful Project Manager will receive:

-£55,000 - £70,000 Basic 
-Car / Allowance 
-Healthcare
-8% Pension
