COMPANY:

Opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 building contractor working on a range of multi million pound building sector projects including Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Student Accommodation.

 

ROLE:
 

The success of BIM and Digital implementation relies very much on people and technology but also the monitoring of output quality and compliance to a BIM Execution Plan and company procedures. To this end our client regularly assess all of their projects for compliance. With the number of BIM and Digital projects ever increasing their Digital Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to help delivery teams to reach high standards.

As a member of the Digital Team, this role will provide essential Quality Assurance support to project teams delivering the Digital Strategy across Construction projects. This is a highly rewarding role that places the successful candidate at the centre of mature and ambitious Digital and MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) Strategies, at the forefront of BIM and Digital implementation.

The Primary role is to support the day to day implementation of integrated BIM / Digital strategy from work winning, pre-construction all the way through to handover and soft landings across our construction projects of which the main sectors in which we work are Health, Education, Defence and Justice. The role will also include researching, testing and trialling the best digital solutions across the construction sector to help improve digital delivery and handover to ensure the company stay ahead of the curve in digital innovation.

DUTIES:

The role is required to ensure that the company’s various BIM / Digital projects achieve their BIM objectives and deadlines in line with the company Digital Strategy. Day-to-day work will involve interaction with internal company support functions, supply chain as well as the core project delivery team.

  • Be able to clearly consult and guide projects from tender to delivery, on Information Management and BIM.
  • The candidate will be expected to help project delivery teams learn the processes and procedures of Information Management. To ensure they can take ownership of the outputs required.
  • Lead on internal training of staff to improve overall BIM competency and upskill in working to ISO19650 requirements.
  • Responsible/ input into the development of automated/ rule-based checking solutions for internal audits through Solibri or Dynamo.
  • Helping pioneer Digital solutions throughout the business, in line with the Technical Department’s overall digital strategy.
  • Regular reports on project performance; and adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Participate in industry BIM groups (e.g. MOJ, DfE DIO, etc.)
  • Maintain compliant and certified business processes
  • Support the implementation of Asite as our CDE solution
  • Support the delivery of the overall digital strategy
  • Maintain a high level of competency of software through continued use and training

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

To be considered for this BIM Manager  / Digital Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

- Knowledge of Building Sector.
- Ideally previous employment as a BIM Technician, BIM Designer, Revit Technician, BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator, Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager, Design Manager, Engineer, Structural engineer, Technician, Architectural Technician or Architect.
- Ideally previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Social Housing, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.
-Experience and knowledge in Building Information Modelling
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc). 

-The candidate must have worked on projects in accordance with BS EN ISO19650.

-Focus on Quality – Understands and maintains quality levels within BIM data and processes;

-Competent in use of Digital Tools (Revit, Navisworks, Solibri) although this is not a modelling role a basic level of competency is required.

-Must have demonstrable experience & knowledge of BIM authoring tools e.g. Revit

-A working knowledge of Navisworks, Solibri, COBie and Asite

 
REMUNERATION:

The successful BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager will receive:

*£40,000 - £50,000 (Dependant on experience)
*Car / Car Allowance
*Healthcare

*Pension (matched up to 8%)

*26 days holiday + banks.
