Framework Support Administrator - Building / Construction – Cambridge


COMPANY:

A reputable regional building main contractor, with a longstanding history and a strong brand in the industry.

 

ROLE:

Our client is recruiting for a Framework Support Administrator to complement and support their strong pre-construction team and to assist the Framework Manager in providing their direct and indirect clients with the services required on the many frameworks they are involved with.

For this role you will need to be ambitious, self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team of like-minded individuals. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and you will need to hold a clean driving license and be prepared to travel from time to time throughout their operating area.

The role will ideally suit someone from an administration, marketing, business development or bid leading background, with a main contractor background or perhaps from a subcontractor’s background or a consultancy.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Framework Assistant will support the Framework Manager in developing an operational programme of work on a variety of Frameworks in line with the Company’s strategic objectives and its Vision, Mission and Values. They will be responsible for helping monitor and audit the frameworks, engaging in business improvement programmes and establishing and meeting customer needs.
  • Champion the company /Client Framework strategy internally and externally
  • Achieve key gateways and KPI's for the Frameworks
  • Identify and capture company differentiators on the Frameworks.
  • Help support the successful rebid of Frameworks from day one.
  • Help Framework Manager in managing all national frameworks within the group and review strategically the business opportunities from each framework.
  • To ensure the company responds to all framework objectives, KPI’s and reports.
  • To ensure that the company keeps a close relationship with the framework contacts.
  • To ensure that the company continually develop the workings of the business to suit the framework requirements and emerging legislative requirements.
  • To inform and upskill people within each operating company on how framework bids are to be implemented.
  • To help manage the clients’ expectations and ensure that we are meeting all required KPI’s and milestones.
  • Producing Tender / Proposal Documents
  • Writing narrative and completing Pre-Qualification Framework Questionnaires
  • Liaising with clients via email and telephone
  • Working alongside the Pre-contract team to identify new work opportunities and create initial marketing responses.
  • Updating web-enabled databases so that information can be seen and shared throughout the Group.
  • Helping creating presentations and proposal documents

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

To be considered for this Framework Administrator vacancy you will likely have the following attributes:

- Previous employment as a Framework Administrator, Proposals Manager, Proposals Coordinator, Submissions Manager, Bid Coordinator or similar.

- Ideally Previous Main Contractor employment, alternatively candidates with previous employment with Subcontractors or Consultancies will also be considered.

-Good organisation skills and work ethic

-Computer skills – need to be proficient on Microsoft Office packages (preferably with some experience of the 2010 suite – Word, Excel, Outlook). Any experience with ‘Adobe InDesign’ would be beneficial but not essential as full in-house training will be provided.

-Excellent spoken and written English.

-A good, clear telephone manner is essential as there will be client interface during the course of the daily works.

-A good ‘team player’, able to work independently and as part of a team.

-A clean driving license, as whilst the role if based in the Cambridge office, there will be a need to utilise a company pool car to go and hold site visits on operational sites in the area (max 1hour from Cambridge).
