We continue our countdown of our top 3 scariest games of all time, onto number 2 ….

Fatal Frame 2 (Crimson Butterfly)

Here we are in October, traditionally the witching season and what more appropriate game than one involving the spirit world and ghosts.

In this game our heroin’s Mio Amokura and her sister Mayu, explore a spooky ghost town where they discover ghosts and spirits with the aid of an enchanted camera.

This is a game without traditional weapons, where the only way to defeat the ghosts is by taking a picture of them with the enchanted camera.

The game has some excellent graphics and the sudden appearance of ghosts on screen can be quite chilling, and definitely has jump factor.

There have been 5 fatal frame games released however crimson butterfly is still regarded as the scariest by many gamers, and according to the game director some players actually found it too scary to continue playing, ideal for Halloween night!!!

Stay tuned for the final chapter in our countdown this week!!
