My client is a national Building & Civil Engineering contractor and one of the most stable top tier main contractors with a busy order book!
This employer is looking to strengthen their design team further with the appointment of two temporary works design engineers to join their team in Falkirk.
This company can also support with achieving Chartership.
Key Responsibilities:
Within this role you will be responsible for the below:

Attend meetings and site visits to discuss Engineering services for specific tenders and projects.

Where necessary assist in the production of design briefs.

Prepare and/or check design calculations by other members of the design team or by external design organisations / consultants.

Produce and/or supervise the production of drawings, schedules etc. based on the results of design calculations.

Ensure that designs and design checks are completed on time and within fee estimates.

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with CDM 2015 and the company Construction Business Management System so that the necessary standards of Safety, Quality & Environmental Management are achieved.

Take a proactive approach to own Continuing Professional Development and the Continuing Professional Development of others to maintain and advance own technical capability and that of the team as a whole.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Design Engineer role you must meet the following criteria:
- Ideally previous employment as a Temporary Works Design Engineer or Civil / Structural Engineer.
- Previous employment history with a Design Engineering consultancy, main contractor, subcontractor or specialist supplier.
- Previous experience on Building or infrastructure / civil engineering projects
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc) - Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering.
-Good knowledge of structural mechanics and understanding of fundamentals of soil mechanics.
-Computer literate preferably including experience of use of computer aided draughting & geotechnical/structural analysis software.
-Good oral and written communication skills
Remuneration:
The successful Design Engineer will receive:
*£35,000 - £50,000 Basic (Dependant on experience)
