Company:

My client is a reputable Building Services sub-contractor going through an exciting period of organic growth and off the back of another successful year are looking to recruit a H&S Manager to join the growing team.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Health and Safety Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

- Knowledge of Building / construction sector. (Previous Building Services sector experience would be ideal but not essential).
- Previous employment as a Health & Safety Manager, Health & Safety Coordinator, Health and Safety Advisor, SHE Manager, HSE Manager, H&S Assistant or similar.
- Previous experience ideally in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Retail, Education or Healthcare. Civils sector may also be considered.
- NEBOSH Certificate. 
- Construction site safety knowledge and experience. 
- Ideally Previous Main Contractor or subcontractor employment.
- High level of communication skills.

Role:

This position will involve a mixture of site monitoring and contribution towards strategic improvement in Health and Safety systems. The successful candidate will be expected to visit allocated sites to conduct surveillance Health and Safety inspections and to participate in forwarding planning of operations. 
Provision of specialist advice will require a thorough working knowledge of legislation/industry working practices relating to construction projects. In providing advice to site teams the individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding of what industry best practice looks like and how to scale this to a wide spectrum of projects.

Other duties will include:
Visit a wide variety of live construction projects.
Ability to combine site safety tours with proactive advice and planning to site teams

Location: Midlands 

Remuneration:

The successful Health & Safety Manager will receive:

-£40,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on experience)
-Car /Allowance

-Healthcare
