Business Development Manager – Construction / Building - Yorkshire / East Midlands

My client is a reputable regional building contractor with a longstanding history.
Role:
You will support the business to sustainably grow in line with company strategy with a regional focus on new business and key account customers. You will provide a consistent approach to creating and building relationships and developing key opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will use your existing and new relationships to develop a network of clients, consultants and suppliers to position the company as the partner of choice.
- You will create and deliver account plans across the public and private sectors, including framework operations.
- You will contribute to continuous improvement activities across pre-construction processes, bid and marketing communications.
- Contribute to creating a consistent customer-focused approach through pipeline management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Business Development Manager role you must meet the following criteria:
- Knowledge of Construction / Building sector.
- Previous employment as a Sales Manager or Business Development Manager.
- Previous experience interfacing with clients.
- Detailed knowledge of marketing and business development.
- Ability to convert client relationships into opportunities for the business.
-Create a culture of constructive and effective communication
-Communicate with authority and conviction in all situations with all levels of
staff/client organisations.
-Be experienced in supporting bid analysis on opportunities.
-Be experienced in actively seeking new business opportunities while maximising existing customer relationships.
-Be confident in your presentation skills and at networking events to build strong relationships with customers, providers, partners and suppliers.
-Recognise changing market forces that may impact upon own or customers’
business and puts plans into action to make a positive contribution.

Remuneration:
The successful Business Development Manager will receive:
- £65,000 - £70,000 Basic (Dependent on experience)
