Digital Manager / BIM Manager  – Construction - Building 

Location Flexible -  to base out of offices in North West, Yorkshire or North East, plus some remote working.

Our client, a leading building main contractor is looking to recruit a Digital / BIM Manager, you will provide technical expertise throughout pre-construction and construction stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful implementation of BIM processes. The role also provides support to the regional construction businesses by assisting them embed BIM into their ways of working and help ensure a consistent approach is achieved.

 

Role Duties:

Project Support:
-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce relevant BIM & project protocols and execution plans.
-Identify project BIM resource requirements
-Cross checking model information against the Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
-Generation of spatial co-ordination tests (Clash detection) at agreed milestones, rationalising and production of reports indicating the issues to be coordinated.
-Chair BIM coordination meetings, guiding the design team through the issues found and recording the resolutions agreed.
-Support design managers with model reviews.
-Support planners with the development of 4D simulations.
-Support bid, commercial and design managers with extraction of model quantification data.

Regional Business Support:
-Assess BIM maturity of regional business unit.
-Provide support to pre-construction and bid teams.
-Establish BIM capability of consultants and supply chain.
-Provide regional reports on BIM adoption at both project and business level.
-Establish BIM training requirements within region
-Deliver workshops to support the development of staff skills and knowledge relating to BIM.
-Monitor the evolving market and report Strengths, Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats to the Digital Construction team.
-Support delivery of key objectives within the Digital Construction Strategy
-Create case studies based on the work being done within the region.

 

Requirements: 

To be considered for this BIM Manager  / Digital Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

- Knowledge of Building Sector.
- Ideally previous employment as a BIM Technician, BIM Designer, Revit Technician, BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator, Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager, Design Manager, Engineer, Structural engineer, Technician, Architectural Technician or Architect.
- Ideally previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Social Housing, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.
-Experience and knowledge in Building Information Modelling
-Knowledge and understanding of Autodesk Autocad and Navisworks.
- Experience using revit software.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc). 

-Good working knowledge of industry standards such as the PAS 1192 suite, Uniclass, CIC BIM Protocol etc. and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.

Location: North West / Yorkshire or North East based considered.

Remuneration:

The successful BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager will receive:

*£45,000 - £60,000 (Dependant on experience)
*Car Allowance
*Healthcare
