Basic - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Ideal candidate:
- HNC/BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (or currently working towards)
- Complimentary relevant industrial experience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Methodical approach
- Numerate
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate – including Coins, BIM 360 and Microsoft packages
- Willingness to learn
- Full driving license
Be able to:
- Assist in the maximisation of profit on each project.
- Maintain the company profile on quality.
- Standard of service meeting the company policy on customer care.
- Be Successful in achievement of BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
Duties include:
- Receiving client brief and assessing scope of works.
- Estimating, preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing.
- Tender stage sub-contract and material enquiries.
- Sub-contract procurement and award, producing sub-contract agreements and maximising profit via price betterment/main contractor discounts.
- Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required.
- Keeping master files of contract correspondence.
- Preparing valuations with clients, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
- Processing sub-contract payments – knowledge of Coins would be an advantage
- Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings.
- Informing sub-contractors of contract variations.
- Valuing variations.
- Pricing dayworks.
- Dealing with contractual issues.
- Provision of cost advice to design consultants.
- Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations.
- Agreeing client and sub-contract final accounts
- Assisting with contract management duties as and when required.
