WANTED – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN & SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIANS – CONSTRUCTION / HOSPITALITY SECTOR PROJECTS
Opportunity to one of the UK’s leading Hospitality, F&B and leisure design experts.
Our client is a reputable Architecture and Interior Design company with a wealth of experience working on iconic projects in Birmingham / midlands for over 30 years, including completing various Interior Design, Branding, Implementation and Construction projects for clients such as Nandos, Hilton Hotels, Marugame, Whitbread, Youngs Brewery, The Alchemist, The Restaurant Group, Boparan Restaurant Group, McArthurGlen and The Angel Hotel.
Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement company construction standards and related processes in order to maintain and grow the company’s credibility in the technical aspect of our work with the client.
- To act as project technician, being principally targeted towards projects which have a particular strategic importance as a new brand or for a new client.
- To be responsible, in conjunction with the project designer, for the building design and detailing, local authority negotiation, liaison with other consultants, liaison with client, and overall team accountability in these areas.
- To produce CAD drawings as specified by your Team Manager, complying with the company’s methods, numbering and filing system, and to the standards expected of a Senior Technician.
- To work, with other team members, on the budgetary control of projects.
- To work with other team members in the development of projects from briefing to completion, liaising with the Team Manager (and the Senior Designer where appropriate) agreeing with team members their specific tasks and responsibilities on a project by project bases.
- To assume the role of site supervising officer on specific projects, varying in accordance with project type. i.e. design led or build led.
- To assist in the training and development of Junior Technicians, supervising their work and aiding with skill growth.
- Ongoing development of the implementation of CAD products in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of the practice.

Requirements:
To be considered for this Senior / Architectural Technician role you must meet the following criteria:
-Knowledge of Building Sector.
-Previous employment as an Architectural technician or architectural technologist.
-Ideally previous experience working on Hospitality sector projects (Retail, Hotel, Restaurants, Leisure)
-Proficient in AutoCAD.
-Ideally some on site experience.
-High level of communication skills.
-Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
