Office based role in Derbyshire.

Projects:
The projects you will support are varied and will include major highways schemes, bridges and structures, building construction, environmental and water, including ongoing works within their coveted framework arrangements. You will be expected to liaise with the site teams to gather and qualify information relating to designs and to issue drawings where necessary.
ROLE:
As a CAD Technician, you will become an integral part of the draughting and visualisation function, working to support the wider team of engineers in clearly conveying design intent to clients across a broad spectrum of projects within the business. This role will suit you perfectly if you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, with an appetite to assist the development of innovative design solutions. The department have a high turnover of work and each job is unique, with its own challenges.
Reporting to the Senior Draughtsman, you will enjoy creating clear and concise temporary and permanent works drawings in line with existing draughting standards (Previous temporary works experience not essential), to deliver high quality, easily readable drawings to our site-based clients. They use AutoCAD as their main draughting tool, and while drawings are predominantly 2D due to the nature of our work, opportunities to use 3D visualisation are growing rapidly. There will also be opportunities to go to site to undertake surveys and measurement of existing features to assist the creation of more accurate design and output.
You will take an active role in working in accordance with the CDM 2015 regulations and ensure the necessary standards of Safety, Quality & Environmental Management are achieved. The office has a genuinely great team environment where they encourage cross-disciplinary working and undertake many CPD and extra-curricular activities together – Both in the workplace and socially.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this CAD TECHNICIAN role you must meet the following criteria:
- Previous employment as a CAD Technician, CAD Designer, AutoCAD technician or similar.
-Previous experience of working with AutoCAD 2D design software.
-Previous experience working in any of the following sectors major highways schemes, bridges and structures, building construction, environmental or water.
- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).
REMUNERATION:
The successful CAD technician will receive:
-£25k to £30k basic (Dependent on experience)

-28 days holiday plus bank holidays
